Love Dale Over the Years

After 25 years of success, there are proud moments for Love dale Residential School. This journey started with 74 children and today with nearly 120 staff and more than 1000 children, the school continues its journey aiming 100% success.

“Akshara” means incorruptible – Love Dale Residential School was established in May 1998 with the aim of taking children by the hand into the magical world of letters. The school started functioning on June 1, 1998 with 74 students, 12 teachers and 8 non-teaching staff. A Kids’ park was started in 2000-2002 and the school got affiliation on the 1st of April, 2003. In the same year, a main block was also constructed which included the Science lab, computer lab and Library.

2003 was a golden year for Love Dale School. Apart from affiliation and new classroom, 6 important clubs were started in the school this year. Science and math clubs with the aim pf developing children’s interest in scientific subjects. IT club to take children to the world of information technology, literary club wit the aim of developing reading habit and inculcating multilingualism. Eco club and nature clubs were also started to grow in harmony with nature. Each year following this was a period of growth for the school.

General body meetings were convened twice every year to evaluate the learning progress of the children and evaluate the activities of the school. Parent’s meetings were organized after every examination to evaluate the academic performance and accept suggestions from parents and discuss the progress of students.  The school as always been instrumental in promoting the academic and artistic talents of children.

Educational Achievements

Among the academic achievements to be mentioned is the name of Sreekutty who won the National level rank for the CBSE Examination 2013-14 and was appreciated by Smt. Smriti Irani (Hon. Minister of Human Resource, Govt. of India). She was invited to attend the Independence Day programme at New delhi and was honoured along with other students.

We have achieved Gold medals and ranks in PCM scholarship examinations, sugama Hindi Exam and such as well. The school organizes Balarama Digest scholarship exam, colouring competition and handwriting competition for children to develop and discover their innate potentials.

Arts and Sports Achievements

Every year arts and sports activities lit with the Investiture ceremony in the school. There are 4 houses and each house has a captain, vice-captain and teachers to guide the children. Every year, our children perform well and win prizes in CBSE South Zone Sahodaya Competitions. Children have been participating in shooting and chess championships, at the district, state and national levels and have achieved success at all levels. Co-curricular activities are also organized in the school with the aim of achieving and enhancing artistic and sports abilities of children apart for academic activities.

Orientation classes for teachers and children are conducted every year along with field trips and excursions. School also participates in social activites with the aim of making children socially responsible. Medical camp for children and teachers, counselling classes and classes for adolescents to deal with their psychological stress and held at regular intervals.

Environmental Day, Independence Day, Onam, Bakrid, Republic Day, Christmas, and New Year are all celebrated with various programs put up by the students. Similarly, science- math exhibitions and yoga in conjunction with yoga day are organized to encourage children’s talents.

Each year has been a varied experience and a stepping stone for the school. In the academic year 2011-12, it got higher secondary affiliation and on 3rd June, 2013, the primary section moved into a new building with smart classrooms.

During the period of Covid, online classes for children were arranged and learning level was recorded. Every year we have been able to publish school magazine with works of children published.
